Carousels and Sliders/Slideshows

With carousels and slideshows it's best to be careful when implementing them. Perhaps check out our articles about slideshows first to ensure that you are implementing them for the right reasons. A common mistake in usage is adding call to action buttons or links within them and expecting the visitor to act. The problem with this thinking is that too much activity can be too much for the mind to absorb resulting in a negative impact. If all you are doing is showing a set of images that is fine. If you do choose to add call to action buttons keep the slides to a minimum, perhaps 2 to 3. Think about your visitors' experience.
