Happy people diningIf you have a restaurant, diner, cafe, coffee shop, bakery or similar business type it is to your advantage to have a contemporary, professionally-designed website. It's absolutely amazing how many business owners place a lot of emphasis in the act of running the business but ignore the website needs. Oddly enough, the good thing for you if you are looking to fill this need is that the lack of competition works to your advantage and the sooner you get going the further it will distance you from the others who aren't acting.

In doing some research into restaurants here is what I determined with the help of Google. The research involved running a series of Google searches like the following:

Unless a service has opted for paid advertising, you will get a combination of Google Local Business listings in addition to organic listings. A business wants to display high in both, but here I am only delving into the three (usually) local listing results (and More Results). I paged through many pages of results, looking at the business listing and website if one existed.

Resulting Observations:

Your website does not need to solve world hunger even if your business does, but a good website will get you closer to the goal of attracting visitors. Here are some odds and ends that might be suitable to a food establishment service:
