CSS Image Gallery with Tooltip Pop-up -
both XHTML and CSS compliant
About the Image Gallery
We offer a variety of different styles of image galleries for use on your website. We can customize the look and feel and image sizes far beyond what you see here. With this and several of the other variations of image gallery we have configured the view such that if you mouse over one of the images that a CSS tooltip window will appear and display information that has been stored in a MySQL database regarding the image. Of course the tooltip is also configurable. This style is configured so that if you mouse over the image and click/select it will display a larger version of the image in a separate window. The target could alternately e another web page.
To our clients we offer flexibilty - although we can certainly manage the contents of the image gallery we can also provide access to an administration utility which can be customized to suit your needs. It includes functions to do the following and more:
- Upload images to the image gallery
- Title and date images
- Give one or several descriptive paragraphs
- Create and modify galleries
- Move images from gallery to gallery
- Create thumbnails
- Create web-friendly optimized (in size/weight) variations
The image gallery administration form is designed to work with standard .jpg, .gif, and .png image types. It comes with username/password restricted access form (with database or user list) to protect from unauthorized uploads to an image gallery. The image gallery structure was adopted from a style discussed in Eric Meyer's book, More Eric Meyer on CSS.
